The four steps of Umrah
- 1IhramEnter the state of Ihram before crossing the Miqat — for flights from Dhaka this is usually announced on board. Make your intention and begin the Talbiyah.
- 2TawafCircle the Kaaba seven times anticlockwise, starting from the Black Stone. Afterwards, pray two rak'ah near Maqam Ibrahim if possible.
- 3Sa'iWalk seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah, beginning at Safa. The route is air-conditioned and wheelchair lanes are available.
- 4Halq or TaqsirMen shave or shorten their hair; women trim a fingertip length. This completes Umrah and releases you from Ihram.
